"Working Together Fund" press release

Introducing the Working Together Fund - He Putea Mahi Tahi

Wayne Francis Charitable Trust in collaboration with the Todd Foundation, Tindall Foundation and the J R Mckenzie Trust ("the Funders") are today introducing a new fund known as the Working Together Fund - He Putea Mahi Tahi

The objective of the fund is to provide seeding assistance to organisations looking to work closer together in orderto provide a better service for their cunsumers.

In today's environment when demand for services is high and the avaliability of resources has diminished, many organisations are struggling and new innovative ways of thinking and working are required.

A recent research project carried out by the Funders found that collaboration between organisations could for many groups provide a successful way forward.

Collaboration may not be right for everyone, nor will it necessarily save money but many organisations that have worked closely together report real returns for the efforts and much-improved services for their consumers.

Wayne Francis Charitable Trust in conjunction with the other Funders invites groups of two or more who are interested in exploring how they might work more closely together to visit our websites for more information and application procedures.

Our 2009 close off date is 13 November 2009. This is very short notice for groups however we believe there will be some who would be in a position to apply and who would welcome the chance to start the New Year knowing if this fund will give support to their initiative.
