Rare Paediatric Brain Cancer Trial

Every year, we allocate funding to cancer-related research.

The Trust has made a 5 year commitment to a Rare Paediatric Brain Cancer Trial so that over this time, multiple clinical trials can be run as treatment options.

The trials mean Kiwi kids and young people diagnosed with rare brain cancers, have access to clinical trials equivalent to those available to patients in Australia.

The fund is managed by the Māia Health Foundation and the trial itself is run by Christchurch Hospital paediatric cancer specialist Dr Andrew Dodgshun (in the picture with Trust Manager, Jenn.)
